Beginners guide to wearing high heels

Start small

A big mistake women or girls make is wearing extremely high heels for the first time and not being able to walk in them. They look good and all but those are not the heels too start with, try out wedge heels or a short heel to start with, platform heels that are chunky are also a great way to start.

Use gel inserts, cushions or gel insoles

To avoid the pain and discomfort that can occur with particular heels, make sure you’re covered. This insoles help keep pressure off your foot

Make sure you’re not walking long distances

Manage your heel time; take breaks and sit down if you must when you’re in heels. Most importantly plan ahead of time by knowing where you’re going, how long you will be on your feet and if you’re going to be up and down nonstop – that my friend, would not be the best time to rock heels. Make your life easier, keep them for another day.

Carry some flats

Know when to take the heels off, stop trying to save face and know when to switch to flats. It’s not a crime to switch for comfort.. Go barefoot if you must....

I’ve always been a big fan of anything and everything Parisian, especially the fashion side of Pari. I’ve always admired French models, bloggers, writers, everyday people, you name it. FYI Parisians often stick to neutral colours – must be why they always look so put together – it’s simple yet draws you in. You just have to try it.
